Vow is built to be private. This policy explains the little that happens and the lot that does not.

What Vow collects

Nothing about you. Vow has no accounts and no sign-in. The sites you block, your reasons, your streak, your PIN, and your settings are stored locally in your own browser. Vow does not send your browsing history or activity to us or to anyone else, and we do not track, profile, or sell anything.

The only external connections

Vow makes two limited outside requests, and neither one sends your personal data:

• Blocklist updates. Vow fetches a public blocklist file from GitHub so your protection stays current. This is a normal file download and includes nothing about you.
• License validation (Plus only). If you buy Vow Plus, the extension validates your license key with Polar so your Plus features unlock. This confirms the key; it does not transmit your browsing.

Payments

Vow Plus purchases are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar handles your payment and any billing details under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Your control

Because everything lives in your browser, you can clear all Vow data at any time by removing the extension or clearing its storage in your browser settings.
